The Washington DC Modern Quilt Guild was founded in 2010. A small group at first, we now have approximately 200+ members from the District and surrounding states. We rotate our meetings across DC, Maryland, and Virginia to accommodate our geographically dispersed membership. We strive to be an inclusive guild and welcome all members, and hope you feel welcome when you join.

We meet monthly, right now with a mix of virtual and in person meetings. At meetings, members can socialize, be inspired by one another's work, or just get some serious sewing done without the distractions of home. We also have a strong charity focus, and provide resources for members to get inspired in their quilting journey.

We also take advantage of the (free!) cultural activities in the DC area including museum trips to gather inspiration for future quilts, and hand sewing on the Mall.

We are a local guild member of the Modern Quilt Guild, and all of our members receive the membership benefits of the Modern Quilt Guild.
