After our regular September meeting we’ll visit Glenstone Museum — just a short 7 minute drive.

Museum visits are a great time to chat with fellow members. Glenstone recently reopened after closing last year for renovations and updates. There are a few 8 passes left so Please reserve your spot, following the link in the 9/11/25 Stitch!

Aynex has volunteered to lead the charge for our design this year. Her plan is to feature DC as the center of the Medallion quilt and have representation of Virginia and Maryland in the radiating borders. We need YOU to help out with ideas of scenery, landmarks, symbols, monuments that represent Maryland, Virginia, and DC! Please use the document linked below to share your ideas!

Socials are an opportunity for members to get to know one another with shared interests, activities, and regions. As our membership grows, these are great opportunities to get to know each other better.

MidMod will be held from Thurs, April 23rd to April 26th, 2026

Lancaster, PA

Moving into fall means planning for next year! As a sponsoring guild, DCMQG is allotted 10 guaranteed spots for the 2026 MidAtlantic Modern (MidMod) Quilting Retreat for our members. Those spots are assigned via lottery to members who have entered their name. Entry into the lottery closes on Thursday, October 2 at 11 pm. Lottery winners and a waitlist will be chosen randomly on Friday, Oct 3rd. Lottery winners must pay a non-refundable $35 registration fee to DCMQG by Sunday, October 5th at 7 pm. Lottery winners must also register with MidMod and pay a remaining retreat fee (approximately $320) by Monday, October 13th at 7 pm ET.

DCMQG members who weren’t selected for the lottery can try to register at the MidMod general registration on Monday, November 3rd.
