Flagging

I knew that I wanted to make something that featured the American flag because it is such a strong image and because it is always fun to work with a red, white, and blue color palette.   My intention for this quilt with its broken stripes and the title, “Flagging,” is to symbolize the struggle that we currently find ourselves in as Americans.  This is my take on Modern Patriotic and I am hopeful for the future.
