Open Doors

This double-wedding ring quilt features fabric from Japan, Singapore and the US. The hot pink linen is from a Uniqlo shirt I nearly wore to pieces during the muggy summers in Japan. ⁣These fabrics and the interconnected rings remind me of travel and mixing of people and cultures. That we’re better when we let people cross our borders for travel or business or immigration or asylum. On this July 4th, I’ll be thinking of the global vaccine rollout and hoping borders and hearts can start reopening again.
