I wish I had a better and more profound statement for my design. Truth is, I wanted to make something that matched my sewing skills. So I had to think about simplicity and how to make a flag that is recognizable with the minimum amount of elements and with the simplest of shapes. The play between the black stripes and and negative spaces was all I needed to convey the flag's unmistakable design.
