This quilt honors the contributions of women and immigrants to our Nation and celebrates the modern woman. The imperfection of the wonky star is a nod to the work ahead to ensure equal rights, opportunity, compensation, and access to healthcare, education and other critical services for all women.
Theresa Toll learned to sew less than six months ago and is thrilled to find the creative and welcoming community DCMQG offers. A federal employee by day, she squeezes in sewing time after her kids are in bed.
